Happy Wedding Wednesday!
Although the thought of planning a wedding around a major holiday can be a little overwhelming, what better event to celebrate at this time of year than a union of love? Thanksgiving is a favorite holiday for many because it is a day that celebrates families gathering and expressing gratitude for those precious things in life that we treasure the most. This is a great atmosphere in which to say, ‘I do.’
With careful planning, you can have a Thanksgiving wedding weekend to remember. For example, if you know that you want to get married on Thanksgiving Saturday, you may want to incorporate your holiday meal and rehearsal dinner. Or, have a light fare on the actual day and a festive menu with all of the trimmings at your reception—and a spiced pumpkin wedding cake with hazelnut buttercream icing to top it off. Of course, you can’t forget to add family football and Black Friday shopping to your wedding weekend’s festivities. Finally, who can ignore the colors of the season like orange, red and gold, which can make for a dramatic, yet romantic décor?
Orchestrating a wedding for a major holiday weekend is a huge task, but if done the right way, it will leave you and your guests with extraordinary memories to cherish, and for which to be thankful!
