{Fashion Friday} Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Happy Friday!
It’s hard to believe that we have alittle more than a  week left in October. As we all know, this month we have celebrated the ‘pink’ survivors in our lives while we continue to fight for a cure for breast cancer.

Each year, the fashion (and cosmetics) industry puts their best foot forward and offers some great deals that will have you looking your best and supporting breast cancer awareness at the same time. The legendary Coach brand is offering several items this month including a watch, charm ring and scarf. Twenty percent of the proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Several cosmetics brands are offering deals that will help you look your best in support of the cause including, Estee Lauder and Marc Jacobs. Whatever deal you decide to take advantage of, please remember that this fight continues long after October has ended. This disease has touched many of us personally, whether directly or indirectly. We must remain vigilante in our fight for a cure—but, definitely look cute while doing it!

To all the ‘Pinkies’ out there, ROCK ON!

{Wedding Wednesday} Honeymoon Destinations

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

These days, honeymoon plans have taken on a life of their own.  From adventure trips to cruises, couples have an overwhelming amount of selections from which to choose.  Acapulco, Las Vegas, Canada and Bali were just some of the places listed as the top spots for 2013.   For 2014, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic are said to be on the radar for honeymoon bliss.

If the union will create a blended family, and you are considering carving out a few days for a ‘honeymoon’ with the kids, Disneyland (or Disneyworld), Universal Studios and Beaches Resorts for families make great vacation spots that everyone can enjoy.

The two most important factors when deciding on honeymoon plans are to: a.) plan early and b.) let your event planner assist you because she or he are ‘negotiating ninjas’ who can help you get the most for your money and time.  Ultimately, the most important thing of all is that you and the groom decide on a place that you both will enjoy and allow you to enjoy each other.

Happy Honeymooning!

{Fashion Inspiration Friday} Flip Flops That Make you Flip!

Happy Fashion Friday!  The planners at Tiffany Chalk Events pride themselves on always looking out for great finds for their brides-to-be.

This week’s find focuses on Brandi Renee Designs and their new Ultimate Customizable Flip Flop Sandal.

BRD recently announced this new footwear line that gives their customers a chance to showcase their unique style by customizing a flip-flop to their liking.   They can choose from two basic styles, which is either ‘The Skinny’ or ‘The Wedge.’  BRD makes it simple by providing only two base color choices of black or white.  From there, customers can choose among a selection of jewels to style their flip-flop.

Yeah, we know the temperature outside is steadily falling while the calendar quickly heads to winter.  However, these sandals are a cute way to show off your personal style as you go through your pre-wedding beauty routine, or enjoy a bridal shower spa day with your wedding party, or even take along with you for the Hawaiian honeymoon.  Let’s not stop there, a white flip-flop styled with the right combination of jewels can pair great with the perfect gown for a destination beach wedding.

Not a bride-to-be?  No problem.  This chic footwear will go great with your resort wardrobe for a winter get-a-way to the Caribbean, rock during your weekly pedicure, or wear if you simply want to look cute around the house.   No matter the reason, these adorable sandals will help you put your best foot forward.  Enjoy!
